At Mesamche Lev, we believe that a project can change lives for people in Israel.
And we believe it can change yours, too.
Bringing Simcha to Life
Special grocery coupons, each valued at certain amounts, dare given to about 2,000 needy families before Passover and the High Holidays. These coupons allow them to purchase necessary food provisions for the holidays. Not only does this bring food into the home, but it also brings a celebratory holiday spirit. And that is priceless.

Mesamche Lev distributes more than 60,000 brand new shoes to Israeli children every year. Stylish, comfortable, and durable, these shoes are often the first ever brand new pair of shoes a child receives. The background of the family makes no difference to us; all that matters is need.

We cannot provide the love of a father or mother, but we can-and do-offer monetary assistance to the bride and groom. Mesamche Lev donates funds toward the wedding meal, wedding clothing for the bride and groom, furnishings, appliances, and linen. This token of help is what sometimes enables the couple to set a wedding date

Whom can the deprived widows and orphans turn to? Mesamche Lev. We assist widows and orphans throughout the year, and offer additional substantial support during the holidays or when unforeseen expenses crop up. At this time, our fund’s roster includes 489 widows and 3,421 orphans, whom we have helped with 1.4 million dollars during the holiday season alone.

Each year before the High Holy Holidays, Mesamche Lev distributes coupons for 300,000 pounds of meat and poultry to indigent families. This enables them to partake of the joyful holiday spirit and celebrate it as it’s meant to be. Satiation for the palate, satiation for the soul.

Mesamche Lev feels that Torah scholars of such great caliber are a credit to our generation. We cannot allow them to give up their scholarly pursuits for monetary reasons. Each individual who dedicates at least 70 hours a week to Torah study receives a significant monthly amount toward basic family expenses. While most of these scholars receive a kollel stipend, the amount is generally far from enough. It is only with Mesamche Lev’s addition that these “giants” can continue to grow.
