When the unthinkable happens, when disaster strikes, people who ordinarily are self-supporting suddenly need help. In Israel, with all its inherent tensions with its neighbors, sudden disasters are not so surprising. As recently as 2008, thousands of families from surrounding cities fled to Jerusalem to escape the scud missiles hurled at them. They needed help. Monetary help.

Mesamche Lev distributes cash to people affected by national disasters. During the aforementioned 2008 war, we gave thousands of families funds for basic necessities. If disaster strikes again, Heaven forbid, we're prepared to assist those affected.
