There exist quietly, without fanfare, Talmudic scholars who study an average of 12 hours a day. These extraordinary individuals, our future Torah giants, often live in poverty. As their families keep growing, their diligent studying becomes jeopardized. With worries about unpaid bills and hungry children, these incredible scholars may find it impossible to continue learning and studying.

Mesamche Lev feels that Torah scholars of such great caliber are a credit to our generation. We cannot allow them to give up their scholarly pursuits for monetary reasons. Each individual who dedicates at least 70 hours a week to Torah study receives a significant monthly amount toward basic family expenses. While most of these scholars receive a kollel stipend, the amount is generally far from enough. It is only with Mesamche Lev’s addition that these “giants” can continue to grow.
